Exploration EVAs require high data rate and high bandwidth communication and data for voice, suit data, scientific data, video, and still imagery, in addition to augmented reality cues. Critical services, such as voice communication and suit telemetry, will be transmitted over UHF.

o Hills, boulders, craters, and other natural obstacles may require the use of EVA-deployable communication repeaters
